Terms and conditions

Introduction:

This document constitutes a legally binding agreement between Canadian International Academic Institute, hereinafter referred to as "CIAI," and the participants engaging in our training services.

Definitions:

The following defines key terms that may be referred to in these terms and conditions:

  • Company: Canadian International Academic Institute.
  • Participant: A participant is any person who has paid for and joins a course from the company.
  • Services: Services refer to the training services, courses, workshops, seminars, or other instructional sessions provided by the company. These services are designed to impart knowledge, develop skills, or provide guidance on specific topics or subjects, as outlined in the course curriculum or program description. Training services may include in-person sessions, online courses, webinars, or other forms of instruction delivered by qualified instructors or facilitators employed or contracted by the Company. Participants engage in these training services with the expectation of acquiring new knowledge, improving existing skills, or achieving specific learning objectives as outlined by the Company.
  • Booking: The process of booking a course is provided on our website on the “Courses”, “Schedule”, and “Calendar” pages. Following the process to completion will book your course.
  • Cancellation: Cancellation timelines are provided on the course page. Depending on when you book the course the cancellation deadline will be different. Cancellations cannot be made within 24 hours of the start of your course.

Services Provided:

CIAI offers training services for international students coming to Canada. Additionally, the company provides services to academic institutions relating to Canadian international students.

Booking and Payment:

  • Participants must book training sessions in advance through our website (https://canadianiai.ca), and payment is due at time of booking.
  • Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be made 24 hours prior to the scheduled session.

Intellectual Property Rights:

All training materials provided by CIAI are the exclusive property of CIAI and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for any purpose without prior written consent.

Participant Responsibilities:

Participants are expected to attend all scheduled training sessions and adhere to CIAI's code of conduct. Any disruptive behavior may result in the participant's removal from the training session without refund.

Code of Conduct:

The following items constitute a code of conduct for the company:
All participants will treat everyone with kindness and consideration. Embrace diversity and create an environment where everyone feels valued. Listen actively and attentively without interrupting. Be open to different perspectives and engage in constructive dialogue. Maintain professionalism and refrain from disrespectful behavior or language. Resolve conflicts peacefully and respectfully. Respect the confidentiality of any personal information and training materials shared during training sessions. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Take responsibility for your actions and their impact on others. Maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination. This code of conduct promotes a positive and respectful learning environment for everyone involved.

Confidentiality:

The company respects the confidentiality of participant information and agrees not to disclose any personal or proprietary information shared during training sessions. Further information is stated in our privacy policy.

Limitation of Liability:

By participating in our training sessions, participants acknowledge and agree to abide by the company's code of conduct. Participants understand that failure to adhere to the code of conduct may result in removal from the training session without refund. Participants further understand and agree that the company, its instructors, staff, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, losses, or claims arising from their participation in the training sessions, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, academic performance, or loss of income. Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with their participation and hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Canadian International Academic Institute, its instructors, staff, and affiliates from any and all liability arising from their participation in the training sessions. This waiver and release of liability shall be binding upon participants, their heirs, successors, and assigns.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution:

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through arbitration/mediation/litigation in the province of Ontario, Canada.

Changes to Terms and Conditions:

Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy on our website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for updates.

Severability:

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
