About us

Founded by Canadian Professors

The Canadian International Academic Institute was founded by a group of Canadian professors and academics who saw firsthand the struggles faced by international students in Canada. They saw students struggling with their studies, and with fitting into the Canadian education system, and too often they saw them fail a course or a program because the students just didn’t understand how to approach their studies.

As a result of their experiences, and those of their students, they created the “Essential Skills for International Students” program. Our courses focus on the things students need to know to be successful in their education, and to provide support and guidance on their journey to Canada.

Online Delivery

Our courses are delivered online, with a live instructor, who is there to answer questions and guide you through the course. Courses are delivered in your local time.
